Nestled in the scenic heart of Liechtenstein, the Stein Egerta Seminar Center stands as a beacon of cultural heritage and architectural beauty. The Center, with its rich history dating back to 1943, today embodies a fusion of time-honored architecture with the demands of contemporary functionality.
One of the primary challenges in revitalizing Stein Egerta was managing the acoustics within its stone-laden architecture. Essential for creating inviting seminar spaces and reception areas, achieving optimal sound clarity without compromising the building’s aesthetic integrity was important.
In addressing this challenge, BASWA Phon Fine, renowned for its proficiency in acoustically complex environments, was the chosen solution. Skillfully overcoming the intricacies of integrating state-of-the-art lighting within the historic framework, the team succeeded in installing an acoustically effective and visually discreet ceiling system.
The Stein Egerta Seminar Center’s acoustic transformation has been a noteworthy enhancement, complementing its historical charm in a subtle yet significant way. Denise Ospelt Strehlau, the project’s lead architect, shared her contentment with the outcome, particularly noting the improvement in sound quality.
